REPAIRS - WARRANTY - MAINTENANCE
Our Repair Policy

All our products repairs are backed up 100% by Herreria Santiago S.A. As a professional company, we do our best to answer effectively and efficiently to our clients repair calls. However, Herreria Santiago S.A. schedules its repairs chronologically in order to service our clients in call order. In case of emergencies, our company will do everything possible to expedite an immediate repair. Our repair call center will program our clients repairs based on two parameters:

1-     Urgent Repair: The customer will send a signed approval accepting all charges incurred by Herreria Santiago S.A. on the product repair.

2-     Repair: An Herreria Santiago S.A. representative will visit the site and will examine the problem and take note of any parts or equipment needed in order to make the door or operator work properly. Immediately after that, Herreria Santiago S.A. will send a quotation to our customer via fax. After the signed approval of the quotation, then the company will schedule a repair in accordance with the clients’ best interest.

In Herreria Santiago S.A. we strive to do our best to give the best and fastest response in our service calls service to our clients after receiving the confirmed order.

Our repairs are guaranteed for 2 months on the repaired part. If for any reason the product needs a different repair on another part not quoted, this repair is not to be included in the warranty, therefore a new quotation and scheduling is needed. However, when this occurs, the repair will have priority and will be scheduled to be resolved immediately.

All our repair costs will be paid in full at the time we deliver the invoice, or can be paid in our offices if you would like to use Visa or Master Card.

Our Warranty Policy

Herreria Santiago S.A. guarantees that our products are manufactured under the best of specifications and materials, following the most rigorous quality norms of the United Sates, Brazil, and Panama depending on the product's origin. With regards to our doors and operators, we guarantee that all parts are verified in the manufacturing process and before it leaves our factory.

Herreria Santiago S.A. guarantees our products to the client for a period of one year on proven defective parts from the invoice date and only to the buyer’s name that appears on the invoice. Moreover, the customer under the already mentioned circumstances can ask for the change or repair of the defective part (the change or repair will be Herreria Santiago’s option based on the damage). Electronic parts will have a 6 months warranty, while the doors and operators will have a full year warranty.

This warranty does not include:

 

a)     Paint or any other damage caused by improper use, negligence, and/or maltreatment of the door or operator after the invoice date of the product. In this case the warranty will be void.

b)     Damages directly or indirectly related to people and/or objects foreign as a result of the improper use of our doors, shutters, screens or operators, therefore Herreria Santiago S.A. does not assume any responsibility since the company does not operate its product or is not related to the everyday operation of its products.

c)      In the case of electrical logic or control board and operators, failures and or damages caused by voltage fluctuations, overloads, power failures, lightning, and short circuits caused by insects or animals inside the electronic area.

d)     Any of our products that have been repaired or tampered by people outside our company or by other companies.

e)     Cleaning or Maintenance

f)        The wrongful functioning or damage caused to the door or operators because of flawed installation or modification to the proper installation manuals of the manufacturing company be it AMARR, LIFTMASTER, TUCSON ROLLING SHUTTERS, TUCSON SOLAR SCREENS, and PECCININ.

*Herreria Santiago S.A. reserves the right to suspend permanently the original warranty in the case of proven tamper, misuse, damage, or any other situation in which our installed doors or operators have suffered damages by a third party.
 

Our Maintenance Policy

Since our products are built with many electrical and mechanical parts within which are in constant movement, vibration and exposed to the weather, we recommend the periodical preventive maintenance of all our products after our year warranty period expires.

In this way our experienced maintenance team will be able to examine the wear and tear of any of our product parts in order to prevent and damage or malfunction. In addition the preventive maintenance will lower any probability of accidents to third parties due to improper functioning of our products.

Herreria Santiago S.A. provides our clients with monthly, bimonthly, tri-monthly or annual contracts depending on the usage, location, or model.

All our customers with maintenance contracts have the benefit of priority in all their inquiries. In addition, customers with contracts will be charged less for repairs made in their doors with maintenance. However, the cost of the maintenance does not include the cost of any part or parts needed to be replaced. In the event of a repair needing parts changed, the client will receive a quotation specifying the problem to be approved and proceed.

Our maintenance contracts are performed by our highly trained and qualified personnel. Herreria Santiago S.A. does not encourage any customer to hire third party help or to resolve by themselves any problem that our products could have because working with the machinery could be hazardous.

Herreria Santiago S.A. is not responsible for damages caused by any of our products to third parties as a consequence of repairs performed by unauthorized personnel.
